January 1st, 2009 marks the birth of AIDA Canada as a new expression of the Canadian freediving community. AIDA Canada has been set up with the support of the two most well-established and populous Canadian Freedive clubs (Freedive Toronto and Club d’Apnée Sportive de Montréal) in combination with support from several of the top Canadian freedivers, and passionate west coast freedivers. AIDA Canada is focused on providing education in both French and English and fostering an active and supportive forum for exploration of different freediving philosophies.
